July 18, 2007- I've decided to try regular updates. Previously I've just uploaded a comic whenever it's done. in THEORY, if I work ahead I should be able to always have a comic to upload. I'm gonna shoot for every Monday. I have a few ideas now, but if a comic doesn't come to me, I won't be able to force it. Let's see how long this lasts! July 13, 2007- This summer has been seen a major growth spurt in the comic. Though it still lacks the pizazz and other fancy shmancy filler of all those other (some would say better) webcomics, it's already stepped far beyond its own humble beginnings. May 15, 2007- As you can clearly see, the Bench 37 website is all new and improved! I've decided to apply my budding HTML skills to play with the site and see what I could come up with. It's not finished by any means, but it's coming along nicely! May 7, 2007- Joy! Second Semester is over! Now, the comic. I messaged michael and said, "It's high time for another comic." and five minutes later, I was done. So enjoy, because I spent five minutes of my life working on it. August 19, 2006- School starts in a few days. Joy, second semester is underway! I've had this comic idea for a few weeks now but pulling 12 hour days for band camp five days straight has left me with little time for things I need to live, like breathing and eating. But, all that is behind me now, and you've got a new comic in front of you! Enjoy or i break out the ninja leprachauns. June 6, 2006- Happy 6/6/6, for you people pathetic enough to think today is special. For you important people who matter to society, not one, not two, but THREE new comics uploaded today! MUA AH AH AH AH!!!! May 27, 2006- So Apparently Bench 37 isn't "important" enough for Wikipedia. Apparently the 15 or so kilobytes of text I took up was better used as an article for, oh, the "Kitchen Sink Realism movement of 1950s and 60s British art." Apparently wikipedia DOES have everything, even the kitchen sink...Oh...wait...they don't have Bench 37. May 2, 2006- Dear Miami University: yay for Finals week! Three finals on a friday; I wouldn't have it any other way. Well, I suppose if you wanted, you could hire an opera diva to bellow a love song right behind my chair. That might add to the ffect of, ya know, taking finals on a friday. In other news, look at my hit counter!!! I dunno if it's a glitch or what...but between January and April 28, I had 300 some odd hits. I woke up and checked April 29, and the number had jumped to 2,118. I was cool with that. Things settle back to normal then. 2 hits sunday, 3 hits Monday, and today...5,XXX+. On a Friday and monday too...I think you people are confused- I don't have a regular update schedule. Sorry. But anyway, keep the hits coming! and don't forget that paypal link down there... ;) March 29, 2006- Hey crew! miss me yet? obviously not, because no one was begging for my swift return. But, what can you do, I'm back anyway...and I have a way for you to give me money! All funds go towards me: my college career, living expenses, and all that other fun adult stuff. Every little bit helps! Thanks guys! :) Feb 5, 2006- Today's comic is absolutely true. Well, the title at least. Don't listen to the soundtrack while driving. Don't watch the movie before drinking. Allow 24 hours after viewing to purge the body of all testosterone and related hormones/impulses. January 27, 2006- I rock! Today's comic was made...and then it sat around for a day. I've got a job on top of the schooling now. Unlike Greg Dean, this will not affect my comic schedule. Speaking of Greg Dean, go read every single installment of www.reallifecomics.com RIGHT MEOW! It's good stuff! January 8, 2006- Happy new year. Merry Christmas. Happy Birthday Debbie. That covers all the holidays. On with the comicry! A few new ones for you, Kiddies. Enjoy. I moved. I'm in Ohio now. Going to school and everything. Fortunately for you, you'll still get comics just as often as you usually do! November 30, 2005- Yeah, no new comics. But you get an update. As if it matters? Is anyone out there? hello? This is a dot.com industry, I should have made billions and lost millions by now...where is the loyal fanbase, where are the groupies? Where is my Bentley and my chauffer and the helicopters flown by midgets dropping solid gold coins into an olympic sized swimming pool? I've missed update schedules, made terrible jokes, ripped off other webcomics, lived a life of slackery, debauchery and joblessness...I've done everything required of a webcomic superstar! So come on!!! Where's the return?! November 9, 2005- Hello gentle reader! I haven't forgotten you. I've been really desperate for a new comic....so I started poring through my messenger history files looking for funnies I might have missed the first time around. There has -got- to be something I can use. Maybe I can finally implement Dave the fro-wielding laid-back alien brutha. Fan mail or suggestions? Send it to "Stuff_drummer (a) yahoo.com." Make sure to put "Bench 37" in the subject line or it will get shuffled into my spam folder by any one of my thousands of spam filters. Enjoy, loyal statistics! EDIT>>>> While browsing, the inspiration for today's comic slammed into me. I thought, "I wish i had a cheesy joke" and then WHAM! I had a cheesy joke. I think there was a genie in my family tree... October 25, 2005- One of the questions we get most here at Bench 37 is "Dustin, How is Bench 37 like Godzilla?" Well, the answer is this, my friends. Bench 37 and godzilla both appear at random, reek havoc, get laughed at, and then go into hibernation for an indeterminate amount of time. Oh, yeah...and we both have a poor grasp of the english language. Sign the guestbook, posers. I'm beginning to think no one visits the site. September 27, 2005- This Friday, SERENITY comes out. wahoot! I am so there. In other news, the Pope has confirmed that it's a miracle: Our guestbook has been signed. while there were no virgins, a kind word was left. I just had to dig through all the unkind words to find it. Check it out and leave more feedback and kind or unkind words. I thrive on it. yes, yes I do. September 24, 2005- Anyone have an idea for a comic? Anyone? Anyone at all?! September 22, 2005- A double-whammy today! Comics 59 and 60 are up. Also new- The Animated Bench 37 short (linked at the bottom of the page! Check it out! Leave all your comments, praise, worship, and offerings in the guestbook. (we also accept virgins) September 20, 2005- Welcome to the Official Bench 37 page. Directly below you'll find out guestbook and menu, just pick your comic and get started!
